Taste of South-East Asia fascinates us to the core, so much so that probably today there are more Chinese joints that Indian restaurants. At HSR Layout, the do-not-disturb corner of Bangalore has many Chinese restaurants. Take a look.
Chinese food is always all about chilli chicken, shredded lamb in garlic chilli sauce or black pepper lobster. If this is what vegans thought so long and have avoided Chinese eateries for the dearth of veg. varieties, welcome to Luo Han at 13th Cross, Sector-1, HSR Layout. The translation of Luo Han would be “a seeker of enlightenment”.
The interiors of Luo Han look beautiful because it is tastefully done and is simple without much frills and fuss. You’ll feel at home with the smiling face of the staff and comfortable-to-your-eyes decor.
The menu is purely vegetarian with menus from all over Taipan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. There are over 200 recipes to choose from all flavoured with basil, lemon grass, coconut, tamarind, sesame and peanuts.
Chung Wah at BTM Layout is a rather simple designed restaurant with maroon colour tones. A little more colour added would have pepped up the interiors making it more inviting.
The food is undoubtedly very tasty with mild Chinese flavours and the use of authentic spices. Drunken chicken wings, dumplings, hunan lamb, Mandarin fish, Cantonese chowmein and soups are the most ordered from the menu.
Parika Seafood at HSR Layout is a fine dine multi-cuisine restaurant that specializes in Chinese, seafood and North Indian fare.
The decor of the restaurant is very airy and soothing to the eyes with wide spaced chairs and tables.
