The snow stopped while we were out driving around which was very nice, then started again almost immediately after we got home. Another 3 inches fell in just a few hours and it’s still coming down out there. It’s supposed to be in the upper 30s and 40s later in the week though so I don’t think it will last very long.
My sock today contained candy and earbuds. What a great gift. I keep some next to the bed and now I can have a set to put in my Knitting bag.
I knit 2 1/2 pair of mittens today. I need to knit six pair in total to be caught up through this weekend. I didn’t do mittens the last several weeks because I was trying to finish Christmas gifts. The sweater is being put in the mail tomorrow morning. I forgot to take a picture of it and it is already gift wrapped and in the box, sealed and ready to go to the post office! Hopefully the recipient will take a picture of themselves and send it to me.
You can see the little tray that sits in my lap and holds all of the bits and bobs I need to make mittens. Sorry it’s so dark on the right side. It was almost 10:00 when I took this photo and it’s been dark for over 6 hours already. 🤷♀️ I have a sock making kit that I keep together in its own little bag so I can grab it and keep it right with me as I’m making the socks. I have a crochet hook for picking up stitches. There’s also a stitch holder for holding the live thumb stitches and two stitch markers for the thumb gusset. There is a darning needle and a little pair of scissors and 8 dpn needles in sizes US 5 and 7.

This is the view if I look to my left from my chair. I really do love our cozy little home. If you look on the table by the poinsettia plant, there is an absolutely beautiful handmade card that I received from Connie at the “Far Side of Fifty” blog over on my side bar. She hand makes all of her cards and they are stunning. So much work is put into each one. Thank you Connie.

Teresa asked me what that little thing was behind the Santa in the picture I drew that was in yesterday’s blog. It’s a glass of milk that is spilling out all over because he’s running, and the round thing above it is a plate full of cookies that are also flying all over! See, I told you I wasn’t a very good artist! Ha!
Wishing you all a happy and safe Monday. Wear your mask and wash your hands!

Blessings and love,
